Description
GISA wines are contemporary, high quality wines that are sourced from premium wine growing regions. The 2K21 ARC Blanc de Gris is sourced from the same secret vineyard as the Pinot Grigio.
Made from 95% Pinot Gris and 5% Chardonnay in the Adelaide Hills, the wine is fresh and bright. The Chardonnay adds mouth feel and complexity to what is a fun style of sparkling.
The fruit was crushed, chilled, gently pressed, then transferred to temperature controlled stainless steel vats where the wine underwent a controlled fermentation. The Chardonnay was 100% barrel fermented and aged in French Oak Barriques for 2 years. The end result is an aromatic wine with a bright fresh nose and textural complex palate. The base wine is then transported to Vinpac for the Charmont method of secondary tank fermentation. This process takes ~ 3 week and is what gives the wine its fizz.
This wine has a very fine bead that liberates the bouquet trapped in the wine. The wine opens to display a delicate palate and a crisp clean finish.
A young, refreshing wine with lively acidity.
