Description
GISA ARC Barossa Shiraz was made from fruit off the Rohrlach vineyards near Williamstown in the Barossa Valley.
The fruit was crushed, de-stemmed, gently pressed, then transferred to temperature controlled stainless steel tank where the wine underwent a controlled fermentation reaching a maximum of 26 degrees.
Whilst closed at the moment, 2018 was a good vintage, and the wine benefits from a little air immediately after opening.
The 2K18 GISA ARC Barossa Shiraz is a rich full flavoured wine with good intensity & power. It is medium bodied wine with generous, ripe fruit filled flavours, of blue berries, plum, black currant & liquorice.
There are hints of vanilla bean and coconut derived from a measure addition of American Oak with the balance in older French oak 60/40.
True to its roots, it is a ripe, rich, full flavoured Barossa Shiraz from what history will tell we be a good vintage.
