Description
GISA wines are contemporary, high quality wines that are sourced from premium south Australian wine growing regions.
Premium Shiraz Fruit from Williams Town, a sub-region, to the South end of the Valley, that has the hall marks of true Barossa Shiraz with the elegance and intrigue.
The fruit was picked into 2 tonne bins, and transported to the winery. Fermented dry in a 5 tonne open fermenter, and pressed straight to barrel. The wine was rested in new & 2 year old American Oak for 12 months to impart the typical vanillin profile common in wine from the region.
The resultant wine is a balanced wine with all the traditional cues of a Barossa Shiraz with a hint of intrigue.
True to its roots, it is a ripe, rich, full flavoured Barossa Shiraz from what will prove to be a good vintage.
An attractive wine now with layers of fruits complexity, big, full and round in the mouth, yet soft approachable tannins and good length.
