Description
GISA wines are contemporary, high quality wines that are sourced from premium wine growing regions. The 2K24 ARC Blanc de Blanc is sourced from a single vineyard south of Mt Compass.
This wine is made from 95% Chardonnay and 5% Sauvignon Blanc in the Adelaide wine region. The Chardonnay displays a complexity and a generosity in this bone dry sparkling style.
The fruit was crushed, chilled, gently pressed, then transferred to temperature controlled stainless steel vats where the wine underwent a controlled fermentation. The Chardonnay was 100% fermented in stainless steel to maintain the maximum freshness. The end result is an aromatic wine with a bright fresh nose and textural complex palate. The base wine is then transported to Vinpac for the Charmat method of secondary tank fermentation. This process takes ~ 3 week and is what gives the wine its fizz.
This wine has a very fine bead because of the Charmat secondary ferment method, that liberates the bouquet trapped in the wine. With less than 1 gram of sugar per litre, the wine is ultra dry. In the glass, the wine opens to display fresh green apples, a delicate palate and a crisp clean finish.
A young, refreshing wine with lively acidity.
